Four Weeks Down, Eight to Go: Vibes Cup Season 1 Recap

Four Weeks Down, Eight to Go: Vibes Cup Season 1 Recap

on Aug 08, 2026

Four weeks into the Tactics Vibes Cup Season 1, the competition is starting to take shape—but there is still a long way to go.

We have welcomed 48 total tournament entries across the first four qualifiers, with returning players, new faces, and a growing variety of decks each week. Thank you to Hobby Nook, Green Gate Hobbies, and everyone who has helped give the community a place to play.

Most importantly, thank you to every player who joined us. Whether you attended one week or all four, you helped make the opening month of the Vibes Cup special.

Week 1 — Bellyacher Takes Over

The season began with 16 players and eight archetypes. Bellyacher made an immediate impact, taking the first three spots. Cholo Pascual won the opening qualifier, followed by Euneil Javinas, Chino Inigo Pe, and French Jhon Gaitan. Cholo and Euneil also became the season’s first auto-qualified players.

Week 2 — Nine Players, Nine Decks

Week 2 gave us a completely open field, with nine players bringing nine different archetypes. Euneil followed his Week 1 runner-up finish with a perfect 4–0 victory using Bellyacher. Cara Vergel De Dios placed second with Blue Fits, while Aldrin Dy and Patrick Becerel completed the Top 4 with Redurple Control and Blue Yellow Sphinx.

Week 3 — Euneil’s Run Continues

The variety continued in Week 3, where all eight players brought different decks. Euneil changed to Red Control and finished another perfect 4–0, giving him three consecutive Top 2 finishes to begin the season. Cara placed second again with Blue Fits, followed by Eton Delmoro with BizBunk and John Jonson with Psychic Fits.

Week 4 — The Field Grows Again

Week 4 brought the field back up to 15 players, with 13 archetypes represented among the submitted deck information. Carl Jacob Caspe went undefeated with BizBunk, while Aldrin finished second with Redurple Control and earned automatic qualification. Juan Miguel Castillo placed third with Bellyacher, followed by Mika De castro and Modified Yellow Starter.

It was also great to see more new faces joining the tournament. We hope to welcome even more players in the coming weeks.

Eight More Weeks to Go

The first month has already given us dominant runs, surprise finishes, and a metagame that continues to change every week.

There are still eight qualifiers remaining, which means plenty of points are available and nothing is settled yet. One strong result could completely change the leaderboard.
